Title: What is SEO?
Post by: lathesira on September 06, 2019, 05:26:22 AM
SEO (search engine optimization) is the science of adjusting, developing and tuning the content and code of a website and promoting that website on other sites throughout the web in ways that increase the chances of one or more of the pages of the website appearing in the search engine results pages (SERPS) in response to a user typing words known as keywords into the search box of their search engine (e.g. Google, Bing or Yahoo).

The expressions keyword, key phrase, search term and search query all refer to the particular words that might be entered by a user (surfer) into their search engine. A relatively small change in the keyword entered can sometimes lead to a completely different set of websites appearing.

SEO is Search Engine Optimization, the process of optimizing your website and webpages to get

“free”, “organic” traffic from search engines like Google, yahoo, ask etc.

Search engines try to return the most relevant results by using sophisticated algorithms so basically it works on two factors, keywords, and backlinks. Search engines do look at your website's keywords, but they rank your websites on the number and quality of the backlinks to it from other websites.

Keywords are important since they let search engines know about your presence but backlinks determine how much search engines trust your site to be relevant and they help website move up the search results and that is why the search results you see on the search engines are organic and natural listings.

SEO is super important because it helps you move to the top of the relevant search results and almost everyone relies heavily on search engines to find anything online, SEO is the most effective way to increase traffic to your website. A good SEO takes time so the sooner you start the sooner you move up the search result’s ladder.

In short, your SEO strategy should be like:

Step #1: Create a List of Keywords.
Step #2: Analyze Google's First Page.
Step #3: Create Something Different or Better.
Step #4: Add a Hook.
Step #5: Optimize For On-Page SEO.
Step #6: Optimize For Search Intent.
Step #7: Make Your Content Look Awesome.
Step #8: Build Links to Your Page
