What Are The Reasons For Going Cloud?
« on: June 20, 2019, 02:56:01 PM »
Hi all,

Here's very helpful information I just want to share.

Maybe you are using Vanilla Forums self-hosted, or one of our competitors, but I want to share with you just a few reasons you might switch or migrate to a cloud-based solution such as ours.

Spam
If your site has ever been run over by spam to the point you wanted to pull your hair out, going hosted will save your follicles. We use industry leading spam stopping techniques that will keep your forum clean, so real humans can have discussions, not bots selling time-shares in Acapulco.

Server issues
You have better uses of your time than finding  a host that works with the software you selected. Think about it. Do you want to worry about setup, protecting directories, choosing the right hardware and even worrying about getting the install working? What if the self-hosted version of your forum goes down? Who is watching this for you? Who are you going to call? Is your IT expert enough to figure it out?

•   Websites gain access to 4 billion Internet users and can be a online customer segment.
•   Hosted email marketing can gain access to 3.7 billion email users.
•   Ecommerce can extend a physical store.

There are many reasons to choose Cloud hosting for your website. Some of the most important reasons are:

1. Reliability: With Cloud hosting, your website is hosted on a platform that is scalable and reliable. This means that your website will always be up and running, no matter how much traffic it receives. The misunderstanding about the technological difference between Cloud Hosting vs VPS Hosting in the web hosting industry is becoming quite a buzz now.

2. Security: Cloud hosting platforms are incredibly secure, and your website will be protected from hacking attempts and other security threats.

3. Efficiency: Cloud hosting platforms use advanced technologies that make your website faster and more efficient. This means that your website will load quickly for your visitors, no matter where they are located.

What is the difference between data-center and cloud?

Users often get muzzled about technical jargons and have a little idea sometimes what they are referring to. Same is the case for data center and cloud. Though both the terms are related to data storage, there is enough ambiguity for people to misinterpret. The following blog distinguishes how the two terms are more different than the same
