Miscellaneous / Re: what is pogo sticking?
« on: March 11, 2019, 02:04:39 AM »
Hi
Pogo sticking is when visitors click on a certain website, believing that it has what they are looking for, but quickly turns around and goes back to the search results because they, in fact, could not find what they were looking for in that website. This is how bounce rates of a certain website get so high. Inappropriate keywording and SEO causes website visitors to pogo stick out of your website and start searching for another. It's actually bad for you because even though you may have a high rate of visitors and is ranked high on Google, if there's a high bounce rate that just means that no matter how you have used your keywords, Google will identify your website as not good enough as it doesn't give users what they want. And then you will be stripped of that ranking. It also means that whatever it is that you wanna accomplish through your website, wouldn't end up being accomplished too. So if you have a website, no matter whether or not you have high bounce rates, always be true to what you promise to your visitors.

Miscellaneous / Re: Improving Social traffic
« on: March 11, 2019, 01:49:20 AM »
Hi
If by "getting social traffic" you mean getting traffic to your website through social media then the best way to do this is consistently sharing important content from your website and then targeting the right audience to view your content. You can also publish offers etc on social media to do this.

General Cloud Hosting Discussion / Re: What is cloud hosting?
« on: February 27, 2019, 09:31:49 PM »
Hi,
Cloud hosting is a form of hosting where virtual servers are created by integrating different physical machines together and creating one virtual space called "the cloud". Cloud hosting is incredibly reliable, safe, scalable and you can get 100% uptime due to their being a virtual machine within the cloud that you can always move your data to in the case of downtime.
Yes, hosting a website is suited for a cloud server. As mentioned before, the high availability offered by cloud servers guarantees that your website will always be online for visitors to view and therefore the risk of losing potential customers is reduced. Cloud servers are also incredibly scalable. Therefore if you start getting more and more web traffic and feel that you need to expand the website and the bandwidth you can always scale to a higher solution easily.
