I went through something similar last year and found that checking your expected traffic and control panel preference early makes things easier when you're sorting through different VPS plans.

If you're running multiple accounts or scraping sites that are picky about connections, it really helps to buy Dedicated Static ISP proxies (https://infatica.io/isp-proxies/). I switched to those last month and instantly noticed fewer captcha triggers and better speed overall. Datacenter proxies were cheaper, sure, but the drops in reliability made them a pain. For stuff that needs to stay consistent and low-key, static ISP options are the way I go now.
