Reliable webhost with Ruby on Rails?
« on: October 12, 2022, 01:13:58 AM »
Hi Guys,
Can anybody recommend a reliable webhost who supports Ruby on Rails.
India location is essential (for the server but not essential for the company).
Should be able to offer SSL support and unique ip.
Don't need unlimited space or domains, but at least 30-50 Gbs of space and hosting 5-7 domains should be available.
For rails support I like to use jRuby and Torquebox, but Passenger, and at least ruby 2.1 is ok too.
Daily backups of files and DB should be available.
The monthly budget would be around $30-40 (less is of course welcome).
I am interested in VPS or Dedicated offers now.
What are your views on Hostnamaste.com web host? Any reviews? Alternatives?

Best Wishes

Really great service! Hostnamaste.com uptime is outstanding and the host places emphasis on systems administration.
I haven't had single problem with their OpenVZ VPS hosting yet. The add-ons work a high percentage of the time.

Plans from planethoster.com and libertyvps.net can be quite right for you.
You will be pleased with speed connectivity, network uptime and customer support service.

The site speed is good. Datapacket.net web servers are secure. The prices are fair. 24/7 support. Fast servers. Price is excellent.

Reliable web hosts are: hostsailor.com and hostingsource.com.
The online support of them is amazing: they really help you, really and quickly.

Finally I've found a good home for my web sites, Hostnamaste.com is the best solution for hosting any kind of web sites.
My experience dealing with them has been perfect. I can highly recommend their KVM VPS hosting services to others.

QHoster.com and planethoster.com accounts are worth trying.
They are reliable and very honest hosts. They do everything that they claim and keep their promises. The cPanel works well and has tons of features which are always updated and additions are always made, unlike my old hosts who never changed. They always update their servers to the latest version. Support is good and reliable and all of their features have been useful to me on my site.

I find Hostnamaste.com to be knowledgeable with regard to web development. Like their OpenVZ VPS solutions.
Uptime and support have been excellent - they actually answer their emails, and within a few minutes! Cant quibble about the price either.
