Need host suggestions

Hey guys,
I am really trying to avoid going with a major web host that throws money into advertising with false review sites and such.
But I literally cannot find any legit site that shows trustworthy reviews.
I'm looking for a shared hosting service for a friend. Requirements: 40 gigs of space, GOOD uptime, easy to use control panel, great support.
What can you say about Kvchosting.net SSD VPS hosting solutions? Can I trust them or will you recommend me any alternative for comparison?

When i moved on kvchosting.net server, I said to myself that this should be the last host i'll be on..
I would recommend their services for anyone that takes a serious interest in their site and wants an efficient and reliable web host.

In the 8 months I've used kvchosting.net website hosting in the USA, I can only remember 1 significant session of downtime, and that was partially my own fault because I didn't update to a new server when they asked me to. They solved all the troubles. I am happy with them.

I recommended kvchosting.net website hosting to all my clients! They are very quick to respond to help desk tickets!!
I had a problem after updating a script on the site and they were able to restore the site from a backup very quickly!!! EXCELLENT SERVICE!

Deals from hostingsource.com and rockhoster.com are worth your attention.
In terms of service delivery, they  rate excellent. Their technical support has extensive knowledge and thus able to resolve efficiently sometimes obscure issues.
